I plan to buy a projector for portable use as well as home entertainment. I know that xga and 1080p give better resolution with HDMI and Blue Ray but is svga OK for regular TV and DVD’s?

I have a Toshiba Satewllite A215-S4807 ( http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Toshiba-Satellite-15-4-Widescreen-Notebook-PC-A215-S4807/sem/rpsm/oid/185201/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do ) and an Optoma EP716 ( http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Optoma-Portable-Projector-EP716/sem/rpsm/oid/148338/catOid/-17221/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do ). The Toshiba will not project the DVD’s I play in it thru the projector. It says something about “display settings”. I tried messing with it to no avail. Help me!!!!! Please!!!!
