We want to find a bargain when we shop, and especially when we are buying something as expensive as portable digital projectors that cost anywhere from several hundred to several thousands of dollars.  One of the best ways to find the best price for portable projectors is to comparison shop online.

One of the best ways to do this is to find a list of the portable projectors you’re interested in, for example at Amazon.com since they already sell every model available from many brands, new, current, and past models of portable lcd projectors.   I also like to compare prices to those found on Amazon because they usually sell the cheapest portable projectors.   I use the Amazon price as a set base point to compare to. It’s hard for other retailers to beat the big A who offers discounts up to 75% which is basically selling at wholesale prices and free shipping on top of that deep discount.

Once you’ve found your projector model and the price, search for other retailers online to compare the price of various portable dlp projectors to the quotes you’ve already found.   Then you’ll want to weigh the other benefits such as shipping and handling costs, customer service, return policy, and warranty policies.  Buying a portable projector is not a cheap investment and it that should last you many years, it wouldn’t be a very good idea to skimp out on a company that will offer a better warranty, insurance, or return policy just to save a few dollars when you’re searching for the best price for portable projectors.
